GENERAL PLASTER WORK

ROUGH CASTING

Rough casting or pebble dash is a coarse plaster surface we use on outside walls that consists of lime compound and usually is mixture of sand with cement, or can be small gravel, pebbles or shells.

WET DASH

A wet dash finish is achieved by applying 5-13 mm coarse aggregate in the final coat, simplicity of process takes place when the mortar being thrown onto the wall and left untrowelled.

ARTEX COVERING

Artex can be plastered over. Firstly we absolutely make sure that there are no flaking or loose sections of the artex, or indeed ceiling/wall. Then we remove all obviously visible high spots of artex.

GYPSUM PLASTER

Gypsum plaster type is fire proof, natural crystalline combination of calcium sulphate and doesn't emit any kind of chemical vapours. Gypsum plaster finish has very warm thermal insulation properties and it is moisture-resistant and impact-resistant. Gypsum plaster is non-breathable, so it is perfect for internal use. Common types of gypsum plaster: Plaster of Paris, Flat Venetian Plaster, White Plaster of Paris Dry Mix.

LIME PLASTER

Lime plaster is breathable, and it is eco-friendly. It will be applied in thin coats. Every 4 or 5 years lime plaster will be needed to apply a thin coat of lime wash to maintain its strength. PORTLAND CEMENT PLASTER (STUCCO)

Stucco is breathable cement plaster and it is very durable, finish material with a typical life span of 40-80 years or more.  It works perfect in dry climate environment. Cement plaster is applied in three coats: scratch coat, brown coat, and finish coat. The core ingredients for the cement plaster are water, sand, and one of the following options: Portland cement and type S hydrated lime, Portland cement and plastic cement (or masonry cement), Plastic cement. Clay plaster is super eco-friendly, breathes very well. The finishes of clay plaster are especially beautiful and natural.There are also acrylic plasters, silicone plasters, and silicate plasters. These plasters are durable and flexible.
